Abstract

THIRTY YEARS OF MODERN LANGUAGE TEACHING IN NIGERIA

I seem to be inclined, like most people I suppose, to ruminate from time to time over my life and the various acivities it entails. When the occasion demands it, these ruminations emerge from the dark recesses of the mind, and I try to pen them. Today's exercise, hopefully not the last of its kind, thus has a not inconsiderable number of forebears, some subjective, others rigorously academic and related to various aspects of teaching and research, be they specific or general.
